About Us

‘Gateway to Madina’ was launched on the 27th of Ramadan 1429 (28th September 2008). It is an initiative, by a group of mureedeen and lovers of the Beloved Shaykh, Sayyiduna Taajush Shari'ah, Mufti Akhtar Raza Khan Al Qadiri Al Bareillwi, designed to bring forth, translations (or as ‘near to’ translations), into the English medium of communication, the sacred writings of the Great Savants of Islam, the Scholars (theologians) of the Ahl as-Sunnah wal Jama`ah. Henceforth the name 'Gateway to Madina', for surely, these Scholars are the Gateway and Bridge to Al Madina Al Munawwara wherein resides the Supreme Darling of Creation, the Master of the Green Dome, Our Blessed and Most Beloved Prophet, Sayyiduna Muhammad-ur-RasulAllah (salal laahu alaihi wa sallam).  Al Madina Al Munawwara has also been attributively termed as 'Aasimah' for whosoever migrated there, has found solace and safety, both  in the faith as well as from all calamities. Our aim is to disseminate the teachings and writings of the great Savants with the intention that our hearts migrate via the gateway laid out by them, to, and forever find solace and safety in this Blessed City, 'Al Faadihah' for indeed this is the city wherein the impure cannot hide.

‘Gateway to Madina’ is bound by the Creed of the Ahl as-Sunnah wal Jama`ah as expounded by the Classical texts (canon law) of the Pious Predecessors, in branches of Aqa'id of that of the Ashari'a and the Maturidi Imaams, in Branches of Jurisprudence of that of Al Hanafi, Al Maliki, Al Shaafi'ee and Al Hanbali as well as the many branches of Tassawuf, viz, Al Qadiri, Al Naqshabandi, Al Chisti, Al Soharwardi, Al Rifa'i, Al Shadhali, etc.
